Qualifications:
2 years of relevant clinical practice (REQUIRED)
Licensed Veterinary Technician (PREFERRED)
Emergency experience (PREFERRED)
Metropolitan Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Services is a fast-paced specialty hospital offering a number of specialties including surgery, ophthalmology, dentistry, dermatology, internal medicine, neurology, emergency & critical care. MVSES is a reputable facility open for over 20 years located in the trendy Jefferson Town region of Louisville. Our hospital is committed to further education and training of all employees; in-house continuing education lectures are provided.
We are currently offering a positions for ER Veterinary Technician/Assistant. MVSES is seeking coachable, responsible, driven individuals with enthusiastic personalities who are committed to providing excellent patient and client care. The position of Veterinary Technician/Assistant calls for a patient oriented individual who will be responsible for obtaining patient history and vitals during emergency triage. This technician will also perform patient treatments and diagnostics.
MVSES a fully equipped ICU that provides care to a wide range of critically ill patients, our ICU Technicians are tested into their position, as are all of our other technician positions. Technologies include all point of care lab work testing, direct/indirect blood pressure monitoring, advanced line placement, transfusion medicine, advanced pharmacological treatments and gold standard nursing care. Our practice has a Criticalist and a diverse DVM staff dedicated to the ER/ICU seven days a week.
Differentials:
Saturday and Sunday 6am-6pm $1.50/hr
$2.50/hr from 6p-12a
$4/hr from 12a-6a
Schedule:
1st Shift weekends between the hours of 5a- 8p available, hours are decided
during interview discussions. This position can be part time or full time.
3rd Shift between the hours of 8p-8a available, hours are decided during
interview discussions.
