Administrative Assistant II supporting WSO / IOPSS Operations Support Services (OSS) Section personnel. This is a journey-level position performing Administrative Assistant II job duties.
Schedule : 44 / 36, Monday through Friday / Every other Friday off. Monday through Thursday 9 hours per day, 8 hours per day every other Friday. Start times are no earlier than 6 am and end times are no later than 6 pm.
Hybrid : Mon-Thurs – 2 in-office days, plus the working Friday is an in-office day
As an Administrative Assistant II, you will provide administrative support to the WSO Operations Support Services (OSS) Section, which includes the Construction Services Unit (CSU), Manufacturing Services Unit (MSU), Power and Equipment Reliability Unit (PERU), and the Operations Projects and Asset Management Unit (OPAM).
This position is within the OSS Section Administrative Services Team, and key responsibilities include procurement support for field operations. Responsibilities include processing purchase and invoice requisitions for goods and services; procurement tracking, monitoring, and follow-up; contract administration support; acting as a training coordinator; assisting with timekeeping; meeting support; researching, gathering, reviewing, and analyzing data; preparation of data summaries; assisting in the preparation of surveys, studies, and reports; and other administrative duties as required. In this position, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your multi-tasking, prioritization, and organization skills and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers. You may also assist the Lake Mathews facility in Riverside, California, when necessary.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience : A high school diploma or high school certificate of equivalency and five years of relevant experience; or Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and three years of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and one year of relevant experience; or two years in a MWD Administrative Assistant I classification.
Relevant Experience is defined as : administrative work experience in processing the purchasing of goods and / or services, record keeping, and report preparation.
