MetroWest Medical Center is the largest community health care system between Worcester and Boston. Position Summary: At the direction of a Registered Occupational Therapist, performs patient treatments as indicated by the treatment plan. Documents treatments given, including frequent and objective measurements. Works with children through geriatric patients with clinical competency. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
Responsibilities:
Performs selected tests and measurements as directed by therapist; maintains documentation on all treatments; assures appropriate equipment performance prior to each use.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree in occupational therapy assistant or equivalent training or experience verified and credited by an accredited OTA program is acceptable
- Experience: 1 year experience preferred
- Certifications: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant by AOTA. Licensure, as required by State law
