Job Summary
The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the supervision of licensed physicians. This role requires strong technical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis or treatment of patients.
- Assists licensed physicians with ultrasound procedures and prepares patients for exams.
- Operates imaging equipment to capture high-quality images for medical diagnosis and patient care.
- Maintains knowledge of current sonographic techniques, technologies, and best practices to enhance patient care.
Qualifications
- Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Sonography.
- Preferred: Associate degree.
- Preferred: 1-3 years of experience in sonography.
Certifications
- Required: Must be registered with ARDMS or ARRT within 24 months of graduation (12 months of hire). BLS certified.
