Position Summary:
Supports the hospital by operating switchboard. Answers, screens, transfers incoming and outgoing calls. Monitors alarms and code situations to activate notification systems when directed.
Job Responsibilities:
Answers calls in efficient manner, uses digital pages as needed. Accesses patient information, uses scripting for all interactions. Must be willing to work rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekend rotation.
Qualifications:
Required: High school graduate or equivalent
Required: 6 months as operator or in customer service
