Job Summary
This role involves performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the supervision of licensed physicians, as well as assisting with other imaging-related tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Produces high-quality diagnostic sonographs as prescribed by licensed practitioners; assists with amnio procedure biopsies; processes and files films as needed.
- Assists licensed physicians with ultrasound procedures and prepares patients for exams.
- Operates imaging equipment to capture clear, accurate images for medical diagnosis and patient care.
- Develops and maintains knowledge of current sonographic techniques, technologies, and best practices to enhance patient care.
Education and Experience
- Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Sonography.
- Preferred: Associate degree.
- Preferred: 1-3 years of experience in sonography.
Certifications
- Required: Must be registered with ARDMS or ARRT within 24 months of graduation (12 months of hire). BLS certified.
