Role of Treatment Coordinator
The Treatment Coordinator plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding patient care, achieving best clinical outcomes, and meeting patient needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide top-notch customer service to patients, referring offices, and team members via phone, in-person, or electronic communication.
- Update and maintain patient insurance information.
- Manage doctor schedules to optimize use of time.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure an excellent patient experience.
- Meet deadlines and prioritize work based on the patient schedule.
- Collect payments from patients efficiently and professionally.
- Understand doctor treatment recommendations and develop treatment plans from diagnosis.
- Effectively communicate treatment options and associated costs to patients.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information in accordance with HIPAA.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of customer service experience necessary.
- Medical or dental experience preferred.
