Early Childhood Teachers Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe camp environment for all summer camp campers
- Supervise campers (ages 4-12) during all activities; counsel campers as needed, using positive and appropriate discipline techniques
- Manage and motivate campers to have fun each day of camp
- Execute New York Mets Baseball and Softball Camps Curriculum daily, under the direction of the Site Director
- Provide feedback and suggestions during drills and games
- Highlight teachable moments for campers to learn and grow from
- Work together with other team members from various backgrounds to uphold the New York Mets Baseball and Softball Camps stellar reputation
Qualifications for all summer camp teacher positions:
- Be prepared to make a commitment Monday-Friday for approximately eight hours per day, preferably for a minimum 3-5 week commitment
- New York Mets Baseball & Softball Camps run every week from June 16, 2025 to August 22, 2025
- Be prepared to travel to each site with reliable transportation of your own
- Be able to pass a comprehensive background screening
- Have child management experience, and a basic understanding of baseball
- Have or be pursuing a degree in early childhood education and have a familiarity with childhood development principles

- Southampton, NY - Downs Family Recreational Park
- Huntington, NY - Huntington High School
- Brooklyn, NY - Prospect Park
- Bayside, NY - Crocheron Park
- Elmont, NY - Floral Park
- Hicksville, NY
- Smithtown, NY - Daniel J. Flynn Memorial Park

Compensation:
- Professional Educator: $20.00/hour
- Please note you must have at least 1 school year of paid teaching experience and/or provide proof of teaching certification in order to be eligible for this hourly wage.
- College Student/Recent Graduate Still Pursuing Teaching Credential: $17/hour
