Introduction:
We are looking for an experienced Project Superintendent to supervise investment project execution from start to finish. The position holder will organize and oversee planning and scheduling, design and engineering as well as the execution phase of the project including subcontractor management, cash-flow, construction and start-up, to ensure completion in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
The Project Superintendent must be well-versed in all project methodologies and procedures and be able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills. The goal will be to ensure that the project is delivered safe, on time, according to requirements and without exceeding budget.
In this position, you will report to the VP, Professional Services (PSE) Strategic Projects.
This position is located in Mesa, AZ but, we are willing to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. This role does not require travel but, may occasionally involve up to 10% of travel, if any.

What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, suppliers etc. to determine the specifications of the project
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
- Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
- Supervise the execution/construction and give guidance when needed
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
- Review and approve contractors progress claims
- Perform other duties, as assigned
- Proven experience as Project Manager/Superintendent
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
- Familiarity with construction/ project management software
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A team player with leadership abilities
- BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field
- PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
