Introduction:
The Data Analyst Intern is responsible for aiding the Data Engineer and Pricing Analyst in supporting GBP (Grinding, Bulk, and Pyro) business unit, specifically the GQS (Global Quotation Support) and CSO (Complex Sales Order) teams. The Data Analyst Intern will work directly with the Data Engineer and Pricing Analyst to support these teams by optimizing the way data is retrieved, cleaned, and reported.
This position is part of the GBP (Grinding, Bulk and Pyro) business unit. The GBP business handles the services (aftermarket) support for Grinding, Stirred Milling, Bulk Material Handling and Pyro products.

What you’ll do:
- Help develop and continuously improve the database/estimating tools to provide more accurate information.
- Assist in automating redundant processes using programming languages
- Compile, analyze and organize supplier quotes from various sources.
- Use technical and commercial data to develop estimation tools
- Work with the global sourcing team, GBP Proposal team, GBP Global Quotation Support (GQS) team and the GBP Project management team to collect the supplier quotations.
- Support the internal team (Proposal and GQS) on how to best use the estimating tools.
- Gather data from ERP system (SAP) on historical costs and integrate data into various estimation tools
- Improve efficiency and the Quotation Response Time (QRT)
- Position requires excellent customer relation skills, ability to work within a team environment, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a very fast paced environment.
- Shows commitment to quality ethics and focuses on meeting the needs and expectations of both the internal and external customers
- Currently working toward or has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Information Technology.
- Mechanical aptitude – ability to read and understand drawings is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Driver’s license for local travel must be maintained.
