Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As our Human Resources Manager, you will be the leader for all aspects of human resources for employees at two local facilities, Masstron Producing Organization (PO) and Worthington Strategic Business Units (SBUs). This position provides leadership in stablishing and implementing local, national, and global human resource objectives, policies, and plans. It acts as a member of the senior leadership team and will collaborate with the General Manager and department leaders by providing leadership and consulting support on matters of goal setting, policy development, and support in linking business and tactical strategies. This position also manages a HR Specialist. The Masstron PO designs, develops, and produces products within the Mettler Toledo Vehicle and Heavy Capacity product families and serves in direct support of the Vehicle Scale Strategic Business Unit, which develops and implements the strategic direction of the global vehicle scale product line.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Coaching leaders in active performance/situation management through both the performance evaluation process, as well as daily activities/opportunities.
- Overseeing all aspects of employee relations, including internal investigations, disciplinary action, terminations, and maintaining a positive work culture.
- Continually ensuring that appropriate staffing decisions are made for long-term business interests by filling positions with high-quality individuals, ensuring open communication and full integrity during the process.
- Providing onboarding and orientation to new employees that prepares them properly, conveying company culture, and fostering employee engagement.
- Leading and supporting execution of key annual HR processes such as performance evaluations, compensation reviews, and bonus determination and payment.
- Utilizing and managing company processes to create a true status report of employee capabilities, skills, and qualities as well as weaknesses and development opportunities, resulting in a useful tool to enhance employee contributions and aid in succession planning.
- Managing communication processes and related employee programs to foster employee engagement and a positive work culture.
- Facilitating resolution of employee problems and concerns.
- Providing local management of Mettler Toledo benefit, compensation, and recruiting programs.
- Managing all workers' compensation cases and leaves of absences.
- Completing all required government forms and programs such as Affirmative Action Plans and annual EEO reporting and managing any government audits, complaints, or requests.
- Organizing and providing applicable training.
- Managing relationships with other MT units as well as with outside companies.
- Taking a personal lead in critical facility initiatives and human resources matters.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of human resources experience.
- A background in manufacturing or warehouse is preferred.
- Ability to periodically travel to other MT units, job fairs, internal meetings, etc.
- Ability to work fully onsite at our Masstron location in Worthington, OH with some flexibility.
