Salary: 115-135k Combination of Salary plus competitive commission package
Chef2Home by Metz is seeking a dynamic Business Development leader with unique experience in the Food Service Industry and a solid understanding of insurance plans that cover home services, particularly Medicare and Medicaid health plans.
We are seeking a Business Development Pro to attract and inspire new client-partners that provide and cover meals to their customers. This individual will serve as the leader, industry expert, and spokesperson for the expansion of Chef2Home government funded meals programs and will lead the Metz internal teams as they develop, launch, and grow this product line.
Who are we? Chef2Home by Metz delivers delicious, medically tailored meals directly to customers in their homes and other gathering places. Chef2Home serves health insurance clients, such as Medicare Advantage and Medicaid Long Term Care members, Older Americans Act/Meals on Wheels clients, hospital discharge patients, and other individuals seeking healthy meal options across the healthcare spectrum.
Our team of award-winning chefs and registered dietitians design restaurant-quality meals to help patients manage their overall health and specific medical conditions. Meals are always fresh frozen to lock in flavor, vitamins, and nutrients.
Responsibilities
- Key success indicators include the ability to:
- Conceptualize, design, and implement a sales strategy designed around the needs of unique market segments.
- Work with marketing to develop supporting collateral including brochureware, website functionality, RFP content.
- Collaborate cross functionally with manufacturing, operations, IT, and other departments to ensure products and processes meet client expectations and to prioritize customer service, satisfaction, and retention.
- Set and achieve metrics around sales growth and profitability.
- Work closely with Contracting, Legal and Finance to develop proposals, contracts, and pricing models, and bring contract negotiations to closure.
- Prepare and present captivating presentations to Clients and C-Level Associates
- Analyze data and use technology to effectively strategize and communicate information internally and externally.
Position Requirements:
- 5-7 Years Sales experience
- Health Insurance/Managed Care contracting experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Hospitality or similar
- Solid Technology and Computer Applications to include Microsoft Suite
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
- Experienced cross functional team player
- Tech savvy and digitally competent
- Polished communication skills
- Ability to travel locally and nationally as needed

The Director of Business Development’s primary role will be to serve as an Ambassador and Champion of the company brand, growing revenue through Client Acquisition. The Director will be dedicated to the implementation of a successful sales strategy and execution of the full cycle business development process. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Research and analyses of new business opportunities and client pools
- Develop and implement sales strategies and marketing plans
- Work closely with Contracting, Legal and Finance to develop proposals
- Prepare and present captivating, and unprecedented presentations to Clients and C-Level Associates
- Utilize technology to develop captivating presentations using graphs, charts and pivot tables to prove the value of our brand
- Convey the strategic focus, values and attributes through impeccable communication skills
- Follow through and conduct negotiations
- Be prepared to provide statistics and complex business models
Requirements:
- 10 Years of Solid Food Service Management Sales Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Hospitality or similar
- Experience as a Director or High Level Project Manager in Sales
- Solid Technology and Computer Applications to include Microsoft Suite
- Exceptional Communication skills, written and verbal
- Requires Extensive Travel
