Job Title: Catering Attendant (Front of House) Higher Eduation Dining
Location: Montgomery College, Montgomery County, MD
Salary: $16.76 to $19.00
We're looking for some great Catering Attendants to that can deliver amazing service to the Students and Faculty at Montgomery College. This position is primarily responsible for delivery, set up, serving and clean up at scheduled events across the one to three campuses of the college and under the supervision of our Catering Director and Chef Managers.
Duties:
Assists in preparation of event, delivery, execution and breakdown of events
This can consist of helping prepare food, gathering supplies needed for events, delivery and set up of events, breakdown of events, and cleaning and putting catering equipment away
Maintains the catering departments standards
Ensures all events are delivered in a timely fashion and set up per the event order menu and notes
Creates a warm environment at all catering events and always greets guests in a courteous and friendly manor to ensure guest satisfaction
Interacts with guests and helps resolve any customer concerns in a professional manor

Culinary Team Members: Our Team Members start their Culinary Career learning the front and back of the Dining Services Industry. In a hospitality driven, multi dining outlet setting, you will perform duties to include plating, set up and tear down of café, restaurant, retail areas, or assist in kitchen to include prep, dish room, dry stock and perishable food inventories and sanitation. Must bring a strong work ethic, a SMILE and enjoy working in a TEAM environment
Line and Prep Cooks: Prepare and present DELICIOUS meals and IMPRESSIVE presentations following our Executive Chef Menus. Ability to inventory and portion ingredients. Additionally, assist in kitchen to include prep, dish room, dry stock and perishable food inventories and sanitation. Experience as a cook or culinary schooling would be ideal but we willing to train the right person with a passion for food.
Dietary Aids (Patient Food Service): Our Team of Dietary Aids ensure our patients and residents receive AMAZING in-room meals with unexpected service and smiles! Under the guidance of our Clinical Dietitian staff, our Dietary Aids ensure compliance with patient dietary instructions. Our servers assist with meal selection, tray set up, delivery and removal of food trays with strong focus on HOSPITALITY and demonstrating compassion and amazing service to our guest Patients and Residents.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience desired but OPEN to train candidates with a passion for food and understands the basics
- Ability to apply elementary mathematical statistics that would apply to inventory and portioning
