Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, the Operations Supervisor leads production team to meet production demand while maintaining a safe work environment for all employees and prioritizing food safety.
Employee schedule is Friday - Sunday from 4:30 am - 5:30 PM
Primary Responsibilities:
· Lead team to meet production goals, identify barriers to reaching production goals and communicate to support team and leadership team
· Assist team in changeovers and set up of production line
· Review for accuracy, all production department production records
· Escalate through the proper help chain any food safety or safety concerns
· Ensure production department adheres to all GMP and SOP requirements as it relates to food safety compliance
· Support and assist in safety initiatives resulting in a safe work environment and compliance to safe work practices
· Ensure that all production department team is properly trained in their job functions, including SOP’s, proper use of tools and equipment and quality requirements
· Make daily staffing decisions and create employee schedule
· Make hire, discipline, and promotion recommendations for subordinate production team
· Maintain general housekeeping of production department
Required Qualifications:
· Ability to become Forklift Certified
· Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
Preferred Qualifications:
· 3 -5 Years Prior Manufacturing Experience
· Able to work with Microsoft Office Platforms (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to sit and stand for 10 hour shift
· Ability to work in Freezer for periods of time
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Job Type: Full-time
