What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Meyer Building, LLC?
Overall Goal:
Manage the schedule, budget, quality, coordination, etc. of projects to ensure a successful project for the customer and Meyer Building. Strong leadership skills, enthusiasm and commitment to completing projects on time are a must for this position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the overall success of a project by managing subcontractors
- Analyze and solve problems
- Communicate effectively with team members and owners
- Coordinate overall work with the MB crew leader
- Coordinate project needs with the Operations Manager and Operations Assistant
- Manage schedule of the project to ensure that milestones are met
- Manage budget for the project to maintain profitability on the project
- Manage project change orders
- Manage quality of the project for MB self-perform work and subcontractors
- Write subcontracts and purchase orders
- Manage project submittals and ensure timely submission and review to keep the project on schedule
- Coordinate and run regular project progress meetings
- Attend weekly operations meetings and provide input as necessary
- Run weekly labor reports for Operations Manager review and distribute/communicate to crew leader
- Create project specific schedules and distribute to subcontractors and suppliers
- Coordinate equipment needs for projects in conjunction with MB Crew Leader and Operations Assistant
- Manage project closeout documents
- Make jobsite visits to investigate problems
- Call utility locates for each project
- Coordinate portable restroom for each project
- Coordinate dumpster for each project
Minimum Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Understanding of construction prints
- Ability to engage projects without specific direction (self-starter)
- Ability to collaborate with others
- Interpersonal skills to work with operations team
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of Project Management experience
