Meyer Contracting Inc., is seeking qualified applicants for a Lowboy Driver opening to join our team. Team Meyer is a Highway/Heavy contractor based out of Maple Grove, MN who performs Earthwork, Underground Utilities, Demolition, Concrete Structures and Foundations operations primarily in the greater Midwest area. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Lowboy/ Heavy Equipment Hauler will haul all types of equipment to and from construction sites. This person will operate many types of equipment. Effective communication skills with both field and office personnel are absolutely vital to this position. The ability to organize and see the bigger picture while maintaining and improving upon safety standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Hauling construction equipment and other heavy materials
- Qualified to operate/haul with straight axle, tractor trailer/lowboy
- Ability to operate various types of heavy equipment
- Prompt scheduling & response for company mobilizations
- Availability for odd working hours, weekends & nights if needed
- Work effectively with team
- Maintaining safety standards and procedures
Job Qualifications:
- 3 Years of experience
- Class A CDL Drivers License (MN, ND Preferred)
- Excellent driving & safety record
- Experience with hauling up to 145,000 lb loads
- Strong communication skills and highly motivated
- Able to work in a fast paced environment and in various adverse weather conditions
- Equipment knowledge (including operation, mechanical aspects)
- Hazmat tanker certification preferred
Work Hours & Compensation:
- Availability for odd working hours, weekends & nights if needed
- Compensation: Hourly Wage (weekly pay-period)
Benefits:
