Position Overview: We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Part-Time Ice Cream Scooper to join our team! As an Ice Cream Scooper, you will be the face of our shop, responsible for serving our delicious ice cream to customers while ensuring they have a delightful experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Serve ice cream in cones, cups, and sundaes according to customer preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the counter, scooping area, and customer seating areas.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
- Restock ice cream flavors, toppings, cones, and other supplies as needed.
- Daily Preparation of ice cream sandwiches, pup cups and blended pints.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure all products are handled safely and hygienically.
- Provide information to customers about flavors, specials, and any dietary considerations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and preparing the shop for the next shift.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with customers of all ages.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must have transportation and the ability to show up on time for scheduled shifts.
