Banquet Server- Part Time Position
Title:
Banquet Server (ON-CALL)
Job Description:
To prepare tables, serve and clean for banquet functions.
Typical Work Conditions:
Ballroom, meeting rooms, lounge and kitchen areas, poolside, paddock, off-site.
Equipment Used:
Serving carts, chafing dishes, sternos, glassware, china, silverware, tables and chairs, linen, decorations.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Able to communicate in English both written and oral.
2nd language helpful.
Wait staff experience required.
Hotel or catering experience helpful.
Bartending experience helpful but not necessary.
Ability to follow directions.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work individually and as a team.
Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
Able to lift 25lbs constantly.
Able to walk or stand for long periods.
Essential Tasks:
Set banquet tables to meet function specifications.
Deliver and serve food and beverages, including, but not limited to, meals, condiments and accompaniments.
Ensure menu knowledge.
Remove china, glassware, silverware, etc. from tables at the conclusion. of the meal period and deliver to the stewarding area.
Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
Respond to guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary. to maintain positive working relationships.
Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning.
Stocking, folding silverware, taking garbage out, etc.
