Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Dishwasher/Steward is to operate all dish washing equipment in the kitchen, in order to clean/sanitize dishes, pots, pan, cutlery etc..
Ability to work:
• With various pieces of equipment such as dish machine, mops, brooms, buckets, cleaning supplies, chafing dishes, hot boxes, various rolling carts, all other dish washing machines, calculator, scales, hand truck, pallet jack and computer.
• Under variable temperature conditions
• Under variable noise levels
• Indoors / outdoors
• Around chemicals, fumes and odor hazard
Physical Requirements:
• Long hours sometimes required
• Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
• Ability to stand for long hours walk long distances
• Ability to work long hours, some back to back shifts as needed
• Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels
• Near Vision – ability to see details at close range
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms
