Wharton-Smith, Inc. currently has immediate openings in the Bluffton, SC area for an Operator (Heavy Equipment) position.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Excavate
  • Load trucks
  • Hold grade
  • Dig for pipe
  • Explore for pipe safely
  • Push dirt and maintain grade with dozer and loader

Technical Skills

  • Read blueprints for grade work and elevations
  • Run large size excavator, dozer, loader
  • Certification as required by OSHA or Manufacturer for specific pieces of equipment

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have reliable transportation to get to job site
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screenings

Preferred Skills

  • High School diploma and on-the-job training preferred
