Salary: $21.35 - $22.35 per hour
Job Description: As a Box Truck Driver for Meyer Logistics, you will be responsible for driving company trucks to make route deliveries to customers and meet delivery schedules. You will maneuver trucks into position to load and unload delivery trucks, comply with truck driving rules and regulations, inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns, and complete paperwork necessary for company and DOT regulations. Additionally, you will communicate with Fleet Management on maintenance issues and preventative maintenance of delivery trucks. Heavy lifting up to 75 pounds is also required.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should have 1-3 years of previous experience driving 26-28 FT box trucks or any other commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 lbs. You must hold a valid truck driver license and relative endorsement for the specific state. You should also be willing to submit to drug screens, background checks, and maintain a valid DOT medical examiners card. Furthermore, you should have no recent moving or driving violations and remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate. Operating a forklift is also a requirement.
