REPAIR SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

This individual will have proven welding skills, along with an understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. They will have strong communication skills with the ability to talk to co-workers, dealers, and customers professionally. They will repair and service equipment to the best of their ability. They will be able to properly prepare themselves when going on a service call. Have a willingness to learn about and understand all Meyer products both old and current. They need to be willing to talk to others to understand how to properly repair or service Meyer products that they are not familiar with. Learn about product changes that occur (EC’s). Have the ability to read and understand Owner, Operator and Parts Manuals. Properly fill out service paperwork to document the repair, time involved, parts used, and report back to the supervisor as needed. Be able to properly transfer parts from the parts department. Be willing to go on service calls as needed. (Service calls may be short notice and may have overnight stays on occasion.)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

· Proven welding skills

· Good problem solving and organizational skills

. Good verbal and written communications skills that reflect positively on the company

· The ability to communicate well with co-workers

· Strong attention to detail (Quality)

· A strong commitment to customer satisfaction, and quality repair/service work

· Ability to document transfers between warehouses

· Be willing to do what it takes to get repairs/service work done in a timely manner

· Perform service calls and have overnight stays as needed

· Work off-shift as needed

· Work with R&D on projects as needed

· Fill in Production as needed

· Report scrap of material to supervisor

· Responsible for keeping shop clean and organized

· Provide supervisor feedback on common issues in the field, and possible engineering solutions

· Review product Engineering Changes (EC’s) to keep up to date on changes that are occurring to products

· Ability to run a tractor and operate all Meyer equipment

· Willingness to work on the road and beyond standard working hours as needed

· Clean Driving Record

Environment:

This position will work in a lot of different environments inside and outside, many times working on dirty equipment. Equipment may be inside or outside year-round. Majority of the time will be spent in the repair shop. Dress Attire: Coveralls will be provided by Meyer.

Reporting:

This individual will report to the Customer Service Specialist

Work/Pay Schedule:

· Monday through Thursday 5:00 – 3:30, 5:00 – 1:00 on Friday standard most weeks, additional overtime hours as needed

· Pay Range $24.84 to $28.20, depending on experience and background
