Job Description

Job Functions

Prepares, cooks and presents food to order following established company standards.
Completes assigned prep work per the daily Prep and Pull charts
Stores and rotates stock.
Cleans and organizes area.
Assists service assistants periodically.
Assist in unloading and storing deliveries.
Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
Must be able to stand and walk throughout a 4 - 8-hour shift.
Completes required Denny’s training programs within the timeframes designated for your position.
Any other duties assigned by Supervisor.

Cook qualifications and skills

At least 1-year experience as a cook in a family style restaurant.

Able to read and follow standardized recipes.

Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures

Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere.

ServeSafe or Food Handler Certification preferred but not required.
