What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator - Commercial Construction position at Meyer Najem Corporation?
We are looking for a senior level Estimator who has experience (estimating all divisions) of ground up commercial construction. The ideal candidate enjoys conceptual estimating and doing a fair amount take-offs for ground up multi-family and commercial building construction projects ranging from $5M to $25M . Previous experience estimating for a multi-family company is strongly preferred. . Position Responsibilities
- Ability to work with our customers and architect / engineer / subcontract partners in a diligent and collaborative manner
- Bid document preparation and subcontractor buyout in an expeditious and thorough manner
- The ideal candidate has the ability to solve problems with limited direction
- Ability to bring tasks to completion in a timely manner
- Conceptual estimating ability is a requirement of this position
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and multi-task
- Ability to lead project meetings and assist and / or fill in for other Estimators with all functions
- Ability to communicate directly with Vendors / Subcontractors / Architects / Engineers
