Description
Meyer Plastics and Tedco Inc. are currently seeking a talented, motivated, and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our highly skilled team. This AR Specialist position is entry-level and will be responsible for overseeing the general accounting functions of cash application, collections, and cash reporting. The AR Specialist is a full-time position with hours from 8 am-4:30 pm. This employee will be given thorough training enabling them to be a successful team member. This team member will report and work closely with the CFO to maintain the company's financials.
Pay for the position: $18-$21/hr

General Duties:
- Post wire transfers, cash, COD and on account payments
- Check daily reports and record cash / credit cards in check book
- Run credit cards (on account payments) and post
- Review and process Credit Applications
- Collection calls and accurately note outcomes in system database
- Invoice register check for pick tickets, returns paperwork, shipping manifest and shipping documents.
- Customer Refunds / Generate credit balance refund and freight refunds and price adjustment refunds.
- Electronic file organization using Vasion
- Provide backup to accounts payable and receptionist
Specific Duties:
Invoicing:
- Select and process shipments made by multiple branches
- Prepare special billings
- Prepare credit memo’s
- Customer maintenance on daily/weekly customer account changes
Cash:
- Process cash receipts, manual deposits (all locations), and miscellaneous receipts and maintain cash drawer.
Closing Process:
- Run Cash Receipts Journal, agree totals to bank deposits
- Update A/R aging summary
- Prepare Daily Sales Summary for distribution
Monthly Procedures:
- Run end of month Customer’s Receivable Aging and balance to the General Ledger
- Return by Reason Code Report
