Meyer Truck Equipment is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Truck Equipment Inventory Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the flow and accuracy of inventory related to truck equipment, ensuring that stock levels are accurate and that products are stored efficiently.
Who you are :
Physical Capabilities : Comfort with manual labor, including getting dirty, lifting heavy items, and standing for extended periods.
Organizational Skills : Ability to maintain order and manage inventory, likely using software tools to track equipment and accessories.
Experience : Background in working with truck equipment and accessories, indicating familiarity with the specific tools or machinery.
Computer and Software Proficiency : Comfort using inventory software to manage products and orders.
Forklift Operation : Forklift certification and experience, essential for moving heavy items.
Teamwork and Independence : Ability to work both autonomously and within a team setting to complete tasks efficiently.
Driver's License : A valid driver's license for potentially transporting goods or equipment.

Key Responsibilities :
- Inventory Management : Oversee the ordering, storing, receiving, and distributing processes of truck equipment and supplies. Control the flow of supplies and equipment, track and analyze inventory maintenance. Utilize software to receive and manage inventory.
- Inventory Control : Manage the loading and unloading from shipping companies, such as LTL carriers, Fedex, UPS, manually or using a forklift. Inspect skids and packages for damage and notify as needed. Load and unload internal inventory transfers.
- Efficiency Improvement : Evaluate the storage and sorting of inventory to make it easy to find and access parts to improve shop efficiency. Stage parts for technicians to decrease idle time.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, handle all aspects of shipping and receiving, and ensure that goods are in stock.
- Other Duties : Secondary responsibilities to include but are not limited to : Assist with moving and staging vehicles. Occasionally assist with the delivery and pickup of vehicles. Assist with the overall shop cleanliness and organization.
