Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining status documentation regarding all non-inventory samples. Lead the execution of all marketing, PR, and Salesmen sample requests. Support all marketing fulfillment projects and provide administration support to the Marketing Operations Supervisor.
Essential Job Duties:
- Lead in ordering all non-inventory samples from our overseas Factories and the maintenance of detailed spreadsheets of sample requests and the progress.
- Oversee with the approvals from Product Management, Business Development and/or Sourced teams on new non-inventory samples coming in to be sure they are correct before sending to photography, retailers or trade shows.
- Properly communicate, log and track all approved and/or rejected samples including specifics about the rejections and where those samples are being stored in the cage. When applicable upload this data on the overseas Factory spreadsheets.
- Correspond with the overseas Factories, Sales and Executives regarding sample shipments. Resolve any issues involving the receipt or those samples.
- Maintain detailed log of 1,000 samples on the Marketing Inventory Spreadsheet of non-inventory samples being sent or given out to retailers, photo studios, sales staff, executives, etc. Keep a detailed record of where each sample is and where it can be sent next to maximize the use and keep sample quantities at a minimum.
- Oversee the maintenance of the database spreadsheets that organize information for future reference. This includes procuring daily samples from Sales and Marketing orders, data from the overseas Factory spreadsheets and shipping/distribution references.
- Oversee the logging the data of ML portion of the Photography image tracker google drive. Notify the personnel of non-inventory samples being ordered from the Factories and when they arrive.
- Lead periodic inventory counts and recounts as needed by the Logistics Manager to maintain accurate counts of all samples.
- Oversee annual cage audit to ensure warehouse spreadsheet accurately reflects inventory in the cage.
- Lead the consolidating samples periodically to create space in the marketing cage for new items to maximize space.
- Check mailroom to ensure all mail to Marketing Team is distributed in a timely manner.
- Lead the transfer of no longer required inventoried samples to the Annual Warehouse Sales.
- Support all fulfillment and mailing requirements for the marketing department such as, PR editor mailings, retailer meetings, MRSD Special Projects, and any other Special Projects mailings.
- Assist with the coordination of transportation of delivering samples within the local area as needed.
- Oversee temp staff as needed.
- Serve as a back up to the Marketing Operations Supervisor in all their related duties.
- Travel on occasion, providing onsite logistic support to and from events.
- Assist the team in any related duties with projects or events
- Assist the Visual and Events Team with any projects or events
- Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Requires a valid California driver’s license.
- Requires 1-2 years experience in a general office setting.
- Requires 1-year experience in a warehouse environment.
- Must be computer literate. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word & Excel required, and internet preferred.
- Requires typing skills, 10-key and knowledge of NetSuite software preferred.
- Must possess previous forklift certification and experience or willingness to be trained and certified.
- Must be detail oriented and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must possess strong organizational skills.
- Must possess strong troubleshooting skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as work as a team member.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Must be able to interface with all levels of Meyer employees.
- Must possess mental and physical capabilities necessary to perform the job duties.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed primarily in the Marketing office and sample area in the warehouse. Lighting is artificial. Equipment used includes standard office equipment i.e. computer and telephone. Individual will have some exposure to dust, noise, heat, cold and fumes, samples and packing materials. Physical demands include walking, standing, bending over, crouching, pushing, pulling, repetitive use of both hands, grasping, lifting up to 30 lbs., driving cars and being around equipment and machinery. Hours are primarily Monday through Friday with some overtime required. Position requires contact with many Meyer employees.
$22 to $26 per hour, DOE
Salary : $22 - $26
