Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to manage and support our office networking, help desk operations, security administration, email security, and IT Service Management (ITSM). This role is essential in ensuring smooth IT operations, providing technical support to employees, and maintaining robust security measures, including email spam filtering and Data Loss Prevention (DLP). The ideal candidate will have experience in ITSM processes, network administration, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and implementing security best practices.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Office Networking:
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot office network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
Implement and manage VLANs, VPNs, and other network segmentation strategies.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for internet and network-related issues.
Help Desk Support:
Provide escalated IT support for employees, including hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control across various systems.
Install, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, and other office IT equipment.
Document technical issues, solutions, and IT processes in a knowledge base.
Security Administration:
Implement and enforce security policies, including endpoint protection, patch management, and access control.
Monitor and respond to security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and company security policies.
Email Security & Data Loss Prevention (DLP):
Configure and manage email spam filtering solutions to prevent phishing and malware threats.
Implement Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to safeguard sensitive information from unauthorized access or sharing.
Monitor and analyze email security logs to detect and mitigate threats.
Educate employees on email security best practices and phishing awareness.
IT Service Management (ITSM):
Implement and manage ITSM best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
Maintain IT asset management and software licensing records.
Utilize ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Freshservice) to track and resolve IT support requests.
Develop and maintain IT process documentation and standard operating procedures.
Continuously improve IT service delivery and efficiency.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Strong experience in networking technologies (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs).
Proficiency with Windows and Mac operating systems, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration.
Experience with ITSM tools and processes for service request management.
Experience with email security solutions (e.g., Proofpoint, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Barracuda).
Familiarity with DLP policies and configuration in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or other platforms.
Knowledge of firewalls, endpoint protection, and security best practices.
Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as ITIL, CCNA, Network , Security , or equivalent.
