As a Bench Worker, your role is essential in supporting various tasks within the production process, ensuring the creation of high-quality products that align with Mezzetta's standards. You will perform a combination of responsibilities from both the Olive Stuffer and Line Worker roles, contributing to overall production efficiency and quality.

As a Bench Worker, your role is essential in supporting various tasks within the production process, ensuring the creation of high-quality products that align with Mezzetta's standards. You will perform a combination of responsibilities from both the Olive Stuffer and Line Worker roles, contributing to overall production efficiency and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Perform work center activities and tasks in a manner that supports the team in producing quality products and maintains line productivity standards consistent with Mezzetta's high standards for food safety and quality.
- Adhere strictly to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Production Quality (FPQ), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirements to achieve and maintain food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all equipment and processes within your assigned area. Ensure all food contact surfaces are always kept clean and free of contamination.
- Monitor equipment and conveyors for any malfunctions or abnormalities and promptly report them to the Line Lead for resolution.
- Stuff olives with garlic or pepper, ensuring each one meets or surpasses Mezzetta's standards for flavor, taste, and appearance.
- Achieve performance targets for assigned tasks, such as pounds stuffed per hour, per shift.
- Maintain performance to quality standards while monitoring for any product defects.
- Complete 100% of required Alchemy training, including Personal Safety and Food Safety Training.
- Support other team members and share best techniques and training to ensure collective success.
- Engage in identifying opportunities to improve products and processes to enhance the customer experience.
- Ensure compliance with company policy, which mandates that all personnel capable of impacting product quality, safety, and legality are competent and trained to effectively carry out their roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in food production or manufacturing preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions accurately.
- Willingness to adhere to strict food safety and quality standards.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- The work environment may involve exposure to fluctuating ambient temperatures and humidity levels.
- Exposure to strong odors and fumes from hot peppers and other flavorful products processed within the facility is possible.
- The position requires the ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, such as bending, stooping, and using hands for sorting and inspection on the production line.
