What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Parts Cleaner/Material Handler - Machine Shop (1st Shift) position at MF Engineering?
Precision component manufacturer is looking for an individual to be responsible for a variety of secondary processing tasks, including, but not limited to:
- Cleaning/degreasing, sorting, tumbling and de-burring of machined parts in quantities of hundreds to thousands
- Handling and staging of raw materials
- Handling and maintenance of scrap materials and machine oils
- Operation of drill presses, grinding wheels, band-saws, vibratory finishers and various hand tools
The optimal candidate is:
- An effective communicator with a dedicated work ethic
- A safe worker who follows all shop guidelines and supervisor requests
- Punctual to shift requirements
- Able to perform multiple jobs over the course of a day
- Able to maintain a clean and organized work area
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs periodically
This position requires a High School Diploma/GED. The preferred candidate will have at least 1 year of machine shop experience. Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
