Position Summary
GW Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) provides Operational and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and other medical services within Washington DC. The role of RN / NRP can function independently or as a part of a larger medical team. The RN / NRP must know one's surroundings and practice scene safety, body substance isolation, and proper body mechanics to ensure safety. The position will provide Advanced Life Support within the RN / NRP scope of practice and standing orders to include medical evaluation, treatment, and stabilization to the sick and injured. Further, they will respond to emergency medical situations involving potential loss of life or bodily injury; maintain (self or scene) control, manage and direct patient care at the scene of a pre-hospital emergency; provide training and instruction to lesser trained personnel; perform required documentation and, other duties as needed. This position will also work within our operational protocols to help with other Operational Medical needs.

- Must be able to evaluate the condition of patients to determine appropriate care
- Must be able to administer proper treatment under the scope of a Paramedic by utilizing appropriate techniques and medical equipment.
- Must be able to appropriately document medical care in an electronic medical record.
- Must be able to Adhere to all policies of GW MFA, institutional and regulatory bodies
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people at various levels within and outside the GW Medical Faculty Associates.
- Must be able to do medication calculations.
