Overview
The Plant Manager will supervise assigned service work, refined fuel and / or propane operations in an operating area to ensure daily tasks are completed as expected and our customers are serviced with the highest standards, while ensuring the safety of our equipment and employees.

Responsibilities
- Work with the district manager to accomplish the following :
- Price gasoline, diesel fuel, and propane at all locations; including special prices, and any allowable discounts.
- Prepare annual budgets for sales, expenses, and additions to fixed assets at plant(s).
- Submit sales goals for propane, refined oils, motor oils and greases.
- Supervise and evaluate assigned employees.
- Train customer service representative(s) in the safe handling and dispensing of petroleum products, especially propane.
- Manage employees to assure the following aspects of each plant's business activity are accomplished :
- Daily sales reporting and deposits.
- Coordinate prompt and efficient service to all customers, including installation and service of existing equipment and systems.
- Assist service technicians with troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing system, and equipment issues as assigned.
- Inspect and ensure all customer documentation is completed, including service documentation, credit application, propane tank lease.
- Timely follow-up on customer complaints.
- Ensure that no sales are made to customers with past due balances.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all fixed assets, especially equipment loaned to customers.
- Assure sales efforts are conducted as planned, including seeking new customers.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations concerning all facets of job responsibilities and duties and store operations.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the plant including responsibility for profitability and expense control.
- Plan and direct the work of all personnel that are within this manager's area of responsibility, training, and developing employees, evaluating performance, enforcing company policies, and safety requirements, monitoring productivity, resolving conflict in a timely manner and taking disciplinary action when necessary.
- Monitor and make recommendations for the employment, discipline, wage adjustments, and termination of personnel including conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations for
- sales representatives, service technicians, and customer service representatives.
- Assist with the paperwork for compliance with all DOT and state certification on applicable employees.
- Work closely with delegates and keep them informed on local plant and total company operations.
- Assist district sales manager in planning and conducting local annual bulk plant meetings.
- Handle complaints courteously and efficiently according to company policy.
- Assist with establishing individual and team goals for the department, as well as establishing personal goals with senior leadership, ensuring goals are attainable, and trackable.
- Ensure employees are following posted work schedule and adhering to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked.
