Primary Duties:
- Follow daily work schedules and priorities for producing hose assemblies and kits as received from the Hose Production Supervisor.
- Ask Lead Operator to inspect the first hoses made on a production run and to sign off on the work order before starting full production.
- Receive hose and parts into Production Center inventory.
- Keep all hose assembly equipment and tools properly maintained, calibrated, clean and ready for use.
- Assist in ongoing physical inventory counts as directed.
- Ensure that all hose assemblies and kits have computer-generated shippers, quality assurance sheets, and are bagged and tagged, when required before shipping.
- Continually improve performance by receiving training and experience in all areas of hose production.

Basic Requirements:
- Excellent written & oral communication and strong relationship building skills required.
- Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Basic computer skills, with a willingness to learn new software programs. Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 a plus.
- Experience with industrial distribution preferred. Familiarity with industrial and hydraulic hose and fittings, especially Parker Hannifin a plus.
- Must be over the age of 18 to apply.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Hose Production Operator job requires occasionally lifting objects up to 35 pounds, bending to retrieve equipment, parts, hose reels, to perform pressure testing and to push, pull or slide heavy objects. Standing for long periods of time while cutting, crimping, blowing out, tagging and plugging hoses.
- Frequent repetitive grasping, twisting, pushing and pulling use of the hands. Occasionally use hydraulic crimping equipment, saws, pressure testing stand, small power tools and various other hand tools. Some materials or processes used in hose production may generate odors.
- Hose production is located in a non-air-conditioned area of our facility which may experience high or low seasonal temperatures. The physical demands and work environment for Hose Production Operator reflected are representative of those encountered by employees when performing the essential job functions.
