The Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) is seeking an accomplished Head of Procurement. The individual in this role will be responsible for devising and executing procurement strategies that are in alignment with the MFO’s objectives. This position entails leading a team of four procurement specialists who manage a diverse portfolio encompassing general and technical supplies, soft and armored vehicles, and construction materials.
Additionally, the Head of Procurement will bring expertise in contracts management, including but not limited to the construction sector, overseeing the entire contract tender process from drafting through to awarding and monitoring contracts. Furthermore, this role includes serving as the Budget Line Manager for the Labor Support Contract, which involves approximately 700 Egyptian multi-skilled workers.
The position is in Sinai, Egypt, in an international work community of approximately 1500 military and civilian personnel of numerous nationalities.
Education & Experience Required
The successful candidate must have :
- A degree in procurement with training in contract administration and membership in a professional body
- Senior management experience with 10 years’ leading a procurement team
- Experience drafting tender documentation and managing labor support and construction contracts
He / she must also have highly developed leadership and management and excellent communication skills, fluent spoken and written English, strong problem-solving ability and advanced SAP skills in procurement and budget management.
This is an MFO International Staff position and employment is offered as a 2-year renewable, unaccompanied-status contract that includes no cost on-site housing, meals, and recreational facilities as well as a generous worldwide healthcare insurance plan.
The total annual salary for the position is $ 119,000 and the MFO offers its International Staff reimbursement for taxes paid on MFO earnings.
