What You Will Do
- Develop a strong, collaborative partnership with Legal, Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management (LCERM) to enable the definition, sequencing, and maintenance of a master implementation plan for all LCERM technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with the technology strategic roadmap and all other program initiatives. Communicates and champions the vision, value proposition and alignment of the platform to firm strategy throughout the organization to ensure proper prioritization and engagement are provided for success.
- Responsible for oversight, orchestration and prioritization of “epics” and “stories” related to the build out and ongoing support of the firm’s strategic LCERM platform.
- Partners closely with the Enterprise Data management team to align data strategy and capabilities with the LCERM platform. Collaborates with stakeholders and fellow Product Owners to ensure stories are well articulated and appropriately prioritized, and that key enabling bodies of work are understood.
- Accountable for achieving business outcomes through Agile delivery. Serves as primary communicator between stakeholders and the team, utilizing feedback loops to ensure continuous sharing of information.
- Collaborate with a wide range of investment, operations and technology stakeholders and users to promote product functionality, engage for feedback, and gather insights to improve the product with new features or identify risks to ensure business continuity.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive product vision, define product requirements, coordinate resources from other groups, develop roadmaps, and guide the team through key milestones.
- Embeds strong “product lifecycle management” and “Software Development Lifecycle” processes and methodologies. Develops clear acceptance criteria that guides the team to produce incremental quality improvements. In collaboration with the Agile team, creates a uniform definition of the delivery of business value.
- Engages with engineering teams within the business to build alignment around a vision for workflows and future initiatives in a dynamic and rapidly scaling operational environment.
- Actively manages internal and external dependencies and impediments that could impact the team’s completion of Program Increment/Sprint Goals. Actively collaborates with other Product Owners on work that has interdependencies or contingencies between Agile teams.
- Participates in Agile ceremonies (Program Increment Planning, Stand-Ups, Sprint Reviews, Backlog Refinement and Retrospectives) and long-term planning exercises (program vision and roadmap).
- Continually enhances knowledge of systems, products, and the industry. Monitor competitors, competitive products, and market trends to help MFS increase position in the market.
- Collaborate closely with the internal Product Owner Community of Practice to exchange knowledge, skills, and ideas with people across the organization.

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 12-15 years of industry experience, with a proven track record of operating as a Product Owner accountable for delivering over a large-scale strategic program implementation related to front and middle-office systems in an Agile environment.
- Exceptional collaboration skills, with a focus on building a strong partnership with the business team and the broader Product Owner community to enhance product outcomes and achieve strategic goals.
- Excellent leadership and team management experience; leading matrixed teams to deliver program outcomes. Must be comfortable leading and coaching Product Owners in an agile environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact/influence/negotiate effectively at all levels of management.
- High level of attention to detail; proactive and diligent in responding to business and client needs.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions to driving results and overcoming challenges.
