Shipping Supervisor
Position Summary:
The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the shipping operations of the organization, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. This role involves managing shipping staff, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
Essential Functions/Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train shipping staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and conducting regular evaluations.
- Ensure that all shipments meet company quality standards and comply with regulations.
- Preparation of shipping documents, including bills of lading, shipping manifests, and customs paperwork.
- Address any shipping issues or delays, working proactively to find solutions and minimize impact on operations.
- Generate and analyze shipping reports to identify trends, improve efficiency, and support decision-making.
Qualification Requirements:
- Proven 3-5 years work experience in shipping
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Microsoft Office 365 proficiency required
- Pace Jet and NetSuite experience a plus.
- Some college preferred.
