What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Technician position at MFS Talent?
Shift : Days - 8 hours, 40hrs / week-Work location : Palo Alto, CA-Compensation : $38 to $45 per hourDuties and Responsibilities-Document and transcribe quality control measures, including environmental readings for lab, equipment function checks, and isolation quality control.-Train back-up staff as necessary.-Recommend necessary changes for better workflow and coordinates implementation with supervisor.-Respond to emergency staffing situations as requested.-May be assigned to assist or substitute for other Level I or II lab technicians, Lab Assistants, or other staff.-Other tasks may include (but not be limited to) ordering, receiving and stocking supplies, and laboratory maintenance.-Maintain sample inventories, including receipt, processing, storage and disposal of samples when necessary. Update computer databases for sample storage. Fix errors in data entry.Education QualificationsMinimum of 2 years college education in biology or related field plus 3 years of experience in a life science or chemistry laboratory; or 4 years college education plus 1 year laboratory experience.
