Job Overview

The Apartment Make-Ready Technician is responsible for preparing vacant units for new tenants. This includes performing necessary repairs, cleaning, painting, and ensuring that all appliances and systems are fully operational. The Make-Ready Technician will work closely with the maintenance and property management teams to meet deadlines and ensure the unit meets the company’s standards for move-ins.

Duties

• Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure readiness for operation.
• Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter to diagnose electrical issues.
• Fabricate components as needed to meet operational requirements.
• Work with logic controllers to troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions.
• Perform welding tasks to repair or modify equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
• Supervise junior technicians or apprentices, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and address any customer service concerns.

Experience

• Proven experience in a technical role with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Strong mechanical knowledge, including the ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Familiarity with customer service principles, ensuring positive interactions with clients.
• Experience in supervising or mentoring team members is preferred.
• Proficiency in using various tools and equipment relevant to the trade, including welding equipment.

This position requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Candidates should be prepared to engage in hands-on work that requires both technical skills and problem-solving abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
