Job Overview
The Apartment Make Ready technician is responsible for preparing vacant apartments for new tenants by performing necessary repairs, cleaning, and maintenance tasks. The technician must ensure that each apartment is move-in ready by completing these tasks efficiently and to the highest standard. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure readiness for operation.
- Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter to diagnose electrical issues.
- Fabricate components as needed to meet operational requirements.
- Work with logic controllers to troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions.
- Perform welding tasks to repair or modify equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Supervise junior technicians or apprentices, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and address any customer service concerns.
Experience
- Proven experience in a technical role with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, including the ability to read and interpret schematics.
- Familiarity with customer service principles, ensuring positive interactions with clients.
- Experience in supervising or mentoring team members is preferred.
- Proficiency in using various tools and equipment relevant to the trade, including welding equipment.
