What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Manager position at MFUSED?
As Compliance Manager for MFUSED, you’ll gain hands-on experience in regulatory compliance while supporting leadership across operations. This role offers a strong foundation for career growth, with opportunities to develop expertise in audits, inspections, SOP management, and compliance training. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally, assist with regulatory communications, and play a key role in maintaining company and legal standards — paving the way for advancement in compliance.
This role will be based out of Scottsdale, AZ and you will be required to be on-site. Travel will be required based on business need.
What You’ll Do:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements while upholding company policies, procedures, and core values
- Support compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures while helping develop and monitor state-specific SOPs for and manufacturing operations
- Support the Vice President of Product with regulatory submissions for new products and ensure new sites meet compliance standards for inspections
- Schedule inspections for site, room, and equipment changes while conducting regular compliance audits across facilities
- Develop and manage Corrective and Preventive Action plans, address non-conformance issues, provide clear compliance guidance, and support employee training to uphold regulatory standards
- Maintain strong knowledge of state cannabis regulations, communicate regularly with state regulators and inspectors, and monitor corrective actions to ensure compliance with external audit requirements
- Manage marketing and advertising compliance requests across departments while conducting periodic reviews of procedures, forms, and logs to ensure regulatory adherence
- Handle sensitive information and requests with professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion
What You’ll Bring:
- You have a juris doctor, paralegal certification or an Associate’s degree in compliance, business administration, legal studies, or a related field
- You have at least 2-3 years work experience at a law firm and/or in house in regulatory compliance, auditing, or a similar role
- You can interpret and apply state-specific cannabis regulations, along with compliance requirements for marketing, advertising, HIPAA, FDA, and other industry standards
- You understand workplace health and safety standards and their role in maintaining a compliant and secure work environment
- You are detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and proficiency in MS Office, including advanced Excel, enabling effective collaboration across all levels of the organization
- You are flexible and creative, with a strong work ethic and the ability to prioritize under pressure, meet critical deadlines, and solve key roadblocks effectively
- You have a sense of humor and are a team player

- Compliance with company policies regarding security and safety within a regulated industry is required.
