FP&A Analyst

SUMMARY OF ROLE: 

The FP&A Analyst at Mfused provides senior management and executives with the analysis and information they need to make major operational, financial, and strategic decisions.

The FP&A group is responsible for assisting in the annual budgeting process, providing operational analysis, in addition to partnering with business unit leaders to improve performance.  This role will be based out of Scottsdale, AZ and you will be required to be on-site:

• Provide integral support for the annual budgeting process, financial projections, and sales and revenue forecasting
• Work with state business leadership on annual budget creation as well as quarterly reforecast (including cash flows and balance sheet preparation and analysis)
• Partner with Accounting counterparts to ensure accurate, consistent and timely reporting.  Develop insightful management reporting (i.e. bridge from actuals to budget/forecast, trend analysis, etc)
• Partner and collaborate with leaders across the company and provide them with strategic insights and data-driven recommendations for critical business issues
• Lead financial and data analysis in support of strategic objectives across the entire business, including expansion, sales and manufacturing
• Develop and manage the reporting of key business metrics, through modeling and partnering with business leaders 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance; MBA preferred
• 5 years’ experience in Financial Planning and Analysis
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Subject to background per state
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to obtain required certifications and licenses for regulated markets 

What You’ll Bring:  

• Financial modeling and analysis techniques including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Power BI experience is advantageous
• Analytical thinking with an excellent ability to put complex ideas into clear frameworks, and to use data to drive strategic objectives and priorities
• Experience with managing, cleaning, analyzing and presenting data in a meaningful and straightforward manner
• Knowledge of financial statements and how to analyze them
• Previous experience working with Supply Chain to evaluate inventory and product ordering needs in a manufacturing environment is a plus
• Ability to work well in a variety of different cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships across the organization
• Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Physical Demands:

• Primarily a desk-based role, requiring prolonged periods of sitting while working on a computer.
• Occasional standing, walking, and moving around the office and production areas as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry light objects (up to 20 pounds) occasionally.
• Frequent use of office equipment, including computers, phones, and printers.

Work Environment:

• This position is based in an office environment located near a cannabis production space.
• Exposure to typical office noise levels, with occasional exposure to the odors and noise associated with a cannabis production facility.
• Must be comfortable working in proximity to cannabis-related products and processes.
• Compliance with company policies regarding security and safety within a regulated industry is required.
