Summary of responsibilities
This position provides technical support to the advisor, including gathering client data and organizing and maintaining financial documents and data.
Principal responsibilities
· Review statements provided by clients
· Review client statements from National Financial Services (NFS) and Commonwealth Preferred Portfolio services ® (PPS)
· Input updated values into appropriate planning software
· Conduct monthly/quarterly /ad hoc client reporting
· Organize data
· Identify problem areas and summarize for advisor
· Conduct research
· Use broker/dealer forms and information from COMMunity Link ®
· Read trade journals, book, and other publications
· Calculate projections
· Maintain mutual fund, ETF, and stock recommended lists
· Maintain up-to-date information on model portfolio performance (e.g., through Morningstar®)
· Share in office administrative duties
· Manage office if other team members are out of office
· Ability to work remote
Service clients
· Maintain client cost basis information
· Rebalance client portfolios based on advisor’s criteria and using appropriate tools
· Respond to client questions and concerns if advisor is not available
· Create and distribute newsletters
· Schedule and plan client meting using CRM system
Required knowledge/ skills/ competencies
· BA or BS degree; completion of registered paraplanner (RP) program, a plus
· Prior enrollment or willingness to enroll in CFP® certification program within 1 year of hire
· FINRA series 7 and 63 securities registration a must
· 1 years of experience in the financial services industry; experience with NFS processes and forms a plus
· Good understanding of financial planning concepts and terminology
· Knowledge of mutual fund, stock, bond, insurance, and ETF products
· Knowledge of third-party asset management systems, including how they work, their benefits, and their drawbacks
· Exposure to estate planning issues
· Proficiency with computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint), Morningstar® Advisor Workstation, Argus, Value Line, Broadridge Forefield Advisor, CRM, and Wealthscape
· Money Guide Pro Knowledge a plus

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
