Entry-Level Position
Job Responsibilities
· Prepare media and reagents for testing procedures.
· Perform sterility tests, bacterial culture, and other microbiological methods.
· Perform in vitro testing methods including ELISA, SDS-PAGE, and Western blot.
· Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to conduct testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
· Analyze test results and report findings accurately and clearly.
· Maintain accurate records and documentation of all test results, procedures, and any deviations from SOPs.
· Maintain clean and organized work areas and laboratories.
· Assist with ordering and maintaining inventories of laboratory supplies.
· Adhere to all standards regarding quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and safety.
· Build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues in production, manufacturing, regulatory, and quality assurance.
· Maintain a professional, positive, and collaborative attitude in the workplace.
Requirements
· Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, and bend throughout the day.
· Regularly lift up to 20 pounds.
· Work efficiently under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle interruptions.
· Collaborate effectively with teams or work independently.
· Education: Bachelor of Science (Microbiology, Biology, Molecular Biology, or related area of study). Spring/Summer 2025 graduates will considered and can start part-time providing they are able to transition to full time after graduation.
Preferred Experience
· Previous laboratory experience is strongly preferred.
· Preference given to experience with aseptic technique, microbiology, cell culture, ELISA, and/or western blotting. (Training provided if necessary).
· Experience with working in a GLP or GMP environment is a plus, but not a requirement. On-the-job training is provided.
· Previous experience working with laboratory animals is a plus, but not a requirement.
Compensation: Starting at $45,000/year, pay level commensurate with experience.
