What are the responsibilities and job description for the QARA Receiving Inspector position at MGC Diagnostics?
Summary/Objective
Provide quality products and processes through the timely receipt, processing and inspection of Raw Materials and Components in compliance with the MGC Quality Management System procedures.
Essential Functions

- Verifies all appropriate documentation, labeling, packaging, and product quantities.
- Enters required information in the Receiving Inspection Records processes material certifications and SDS documentation.
- Handling/ movement of received material from loading dock and stage for transfer into inventory location.
- Inspect incoming parts and materials for conformance to specification using Incoming Inspection Procedures, material specifications, 2D prints, mechanical and electrical test, and inspection instruments.
- Aid in the generation and maintenance of Receiving Inspection procedures/records, material specifications and the variety of inspection/test methods and techniques used to ensure compliance to applicable requirements.
- Receiving Technician (Back-up)
- Collaborate with other departments regarding part and process improvements to include:
- Non-conforming material root cause analysis and disposition (MRB)
- Problem solves to resolve identified issues
- Maintain accurate receiving inspection inventory, perform cycle countof the MRB area as required.
- Communicate information effectively and efficiently and participate on cross-functional teams.
- Accept other responsibilities as assigned.
-Complete training as identified by standard operating procedures and procedural work instructions.
- Regular attendance is an essential job function.
- Follow all Company policies and procedures relating to confidential propriety information (CPI) including but not limited to what is outlined in the Confidentiality and Non-Solicitation Agreement.
- Communicate information and participate on cross-functional teams when applicable.
- Support the maintenance and accuracy of Inventory in RI.

Work Environment
Warehouse setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printer, scanner. The role involves some physical labor.

Will be required to regularly stand for extended periods of time; use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, talk, hear, and see. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or reach with hands and arms. Requires repetitive motion and manual dexterity. The environment is fast paced; time pressured and requires accuracy. Will be required to regularly multi-task between projects, move throughout the office building and effectively communicate. The normal production environment can be louder due to equipment running.

Required Education and Experience
- 2 years’ experience in Quality Inspection, preferably in a medical manufacturing environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency with or ability to learn blueprint interpretation and standard measurement tools (Rulers, Calipers, Micrometers, Microscopes, Gage Pins, Etc.).
- Computer proficiency required (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, MRP).
- Must be detail oriented and well organized.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Forklift experience
- Sheet metal and machine shop experience
