Position Overview:
As the Vice President of Fire Protection, you will be tasked with developing MGI's first Fire Protection Installation division. Initial phases of this position will include everything involved in building a division from the ground up, to include; hiring, bidding, strategy development, SOP development, and implementation. You will be responsible for ensuring a successful launch of this division, leveraging MGI's existing infrastructures and exposure to large federal contracts nationwide to achieve this goal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take point on initial development of the Fire Protection Division, to include bid package development, hiring, team development, and establishment of SOPs (standard operating procedures).
- Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to personnel within your division, promoting a culture of effectiveness, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Develop, implement, and maintain operating procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Manage installation budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with fire safety standards and regulations.
- Stay informed on the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes related to fire safety.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Fire Protection Engineering, Safety Management, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection system installation.
- Able to demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of system installation, bidding, and construction management.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA installation standards and regulatory regulations.
- Ability to analyze complex fire protection systems and develop innovative solutions, plans, take-offs, and estimates with estimating teams.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Prior experience in a senior management or director-level role is highly desirable.
