The Company:
MGM Energy is a participating contractor for the Energy Saving Assistance Program. It is sponsored by Southern California Edison, Southern California Gas Company, Southwest Gas, and Bear Valley Electric. Job Overview:
The Home Energy Consultant will complete assessments through an in-home audit by verifying the eligibility of all Southern California Gas Company, Southern California Edison, Southwest Gas, and Bear Valley Electric customers. Field Energy Consultants are expected to canvass, telemarket and find potential customers that meet the program guidelines. The Field Energy Consultant must attend in-person or virtual appointments self-generated or scheduled by the MGM Energy Call Center. Our Field Energy Consultant should have the ability to provide outstanding customer service and good communication skills.
Reports to:
- The Home Energy Consultant reports to the Outreach Manager
Responsibilities and Duties
- Successful complete certification training or any other required training
- Perform outreach for the company’s home improvement and weatherization programs
- Ensure enrollments are summited by the expected time
- Report to schedule appointments on time and prepared
- Canvass door-to-door or telemarked to find potential customers
- Identify and document customer eligibility according to program guidelines
- Conduct structural in-home assessments at customer’s homes, apartments, and mobile homes
- Provide energy education and energy conservation tips to customers as required by program guidelines
- Maintain accurate customer records, files, forms, and paperwork
- Stay updated on program requirements and standards
- Maintain a positive relationship with customers, staff, and utility company representatives
- Participate in the routine meetings, workshops, and training as directed by the Program Administrator
- Responsible for the excellent image of the company while on company time
- Responsible for performing other duties/tasks assigned by the Program Administrator
Requirements:
- Must have an active California Driver’s License
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must have an active Home Improvement Sales License
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must have basic computer skills
- 1 -year minimum experience as an Energy Consultant or similar trade
- Must pass a seven-year criminal background check
- Must pass Drug Test
- Spanish speaker is a Plus
The Location:
Apple Valley, CA and surrounding areas
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 p/hr Plus Production BONUS!
