Telemarketer/Lead Generator
Job Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Telemarketer/Lead Generator to generate leads by cold calling or answering requests in a fast-paced environment. The Telemarketer will influence existing or potential customers to participate in the free Energy Savings Assistance Program sponsored by Southern California Gas Company, Southern California Edison, Southwest Gas, and Bear Valley Electric. A successful outreach telemarketer/ lead generator must be friendly and persuasive, understand the customer's requirements quickly, and present solutions that meet their needs. The ideal candidate will be patient and cool-tempered to deal with aggressiveness and complaints. The goal is to promote business growth by expanding the company's clientele.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Successful complete certification training or any other required training
- Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, and address customer complaints.
- Answer telephones, direct calls, and take messages
- Generate leads
- Schedule appointments with customers.
- Ensure data entry is accurate.
- Report to work on time and prepared
- Identify and document customer eligibility according to program guidelines.
- Stay updated on program requirements and standards.
- Maintain a positive relationship with customers, staff, and utility company representatives.
- Participate in the routine meetings, workshops, and training as directed by the Outreach Supervisor.
- Responsible for the excellent image of the company while on company time
- Responsible for performing other duties/tasks assigned by the Program Coordinator
- Cold call customers using a given phone directory to offer services.
- Answer incoming calls from prospective customers.
- Use scripts to provide information about services, measures, etc., and present their benefits.
- Ask pertinent questions to understand the customer's requirements.
- Persuade the customer to participate in the Energy Savings Assistance Program by demonstrating how our services meet their needs.
- Record the customer's personal information accurately in a computer system.
- Go the "extra mile" to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales.
- Keep records of calls and sales and record useful information.
Skills & Minimum Requirements
- Proven experience as a telemarketer or similar sales/customer service role
- Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quotas, preferably over the phone
- Working knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g., Excel, Microsoft Teams, Outlook ) and telephone systems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in English and Spanish (Preferred)
- Persistent and results-oriented
- Patient and able to handle customer rejection
- High School Diploma

Pay: From $16.50- $17.50 per hour Plus Bonus
