The Job
As an Assistant Restaurant Chef at Joel Robuchon, you will be responsible for ensuring food quality is superior. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. The Day-to-day
- Manage and train Master Cooks, Cooks, Pantry Workers, and Helpers on job responsibilities
- Ensure the preparation and execution of base sauces, stocks, and soups to meet high culinary standards
- Ensure food quality is superior and take action to correct any irregularities
- Maintain exceptional menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation
- Assist the Executive Chef by controlling purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists, and inventory of all kitchen items
- Prepare and administer kitchen schedule
- Assist the Executive Chef by establishing goals and objectives that focus on profit, product, and people
- Work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- 2 years in a cooking position, preferably in a fine dining kitchen
- Previous experience in a chef de partie or assistant chef role
- Prior experience managing employees using a Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Strong customer service background, with the ability to create personalized experiences and address guest needs promptly and professionally.
- Familiarity with the dynamics of working in a resort or casino environment, adept at managing high-energy guest interactions.
