THE JOB :
It is the primary responsibility of the Assistant Executive Housekeeper to manage all operations for assigned areas within Housekeeping, and to perform all assigned functions / duties in accordance with established guidelines / procedures.
THE DAY-TO-DAY :
Strategic Operations : Oversee daily operational functions in line with our department's, division's, and property's strategic vision.
Guest Service Excellence : Ensure outstanding guest service in Housekeeping by implementing, monitoring, and refining our established service standards.
Innovation & Improvement : Contribute to researching and introducing new products, services, technologies, and processes to keep us ahead of evolving guest needs in a dynamic hospitality and gaming environment.
Human Resources Leadership : Manage HR functions for Housekeeping by : Fostering a collaborative, team-oriented work environment. Providing performance feedback, recognition, and coaching. Ensuring quality, diverse hiring and effective training. Handling disciplinary actions and succession planning. Adhering to company policies, legal requirements, and collective bargaining agreements
Mentorship & Development : Mentor and coach Housekeeping Floor Managers, expanding their skills to unlock advancement opportunities for their teams.
Interim Leadership : Step in as the acting Executive Housekeeper when needed, ensuring seamless operations in their absence.
Team Culture : Promote a team-focused culture that prioritizes excellence and a commitment to delivering unparalleled service.
Continuous Improvement : Regularly review and refine operational systems and processes to maintain high service standards and resolve any issues.
Accountability & Compliance : Ensure all operations meet budgetary guidelines, company policies, departmental standards, and legal requirements.
Goal Management : Set, monitor, and adjust short- and long-term departmental objectives, proactively addressing any issues that may impact success.
Staffing Optimization : Continuously evaluate staffing levels based on business demands and recommend adjustments as needed.
Quality Assurance : Conduct daily room inspections and train Floor Managers to ensure compliance with sanitation and quality standards.
Scheduling & Bidding Coordination : Collaborate with Scheduling Attendants to manage bidding processes for positions, ensuring compliance with policies and timelines.
Formal Representation : Represent management at unemployment hearings, union grievances, arbitrations, and other necessary meetings.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE :
Ability to work varied shifts, including holidays and weekends
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Two (2) years of relevant experience in Housekeeping or EVS
One (1) year of supervisory experience in a Union / CBA property
Bilingual preferred
