THE JOB :
The primary purpose of the Backstretch Facilities Tech is to perform semi / non-skilled general and heavy-duty tasks for our Horse Racetrack. They will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining horse barns, equipment and related structures. This includes handling repairs to the barn's infrastructure, such as stalls, and flooring, as well as ensuring that all safety and operational standards are met.
THE STARTING RATE : $20.55
THE DAY-TO-DAY :
- Inspect horse barns for damage, wear, and safety hazards. Report findings to supervisors / managers
- Perform repairs and maintenance on barn structures, tack rooms, and dorms including stalls, doors, and flooring.
- Operates power washers, leaf blowers and lawn equipment to maintain exterior surfaces.
- Maintain and repair water systems, lighting components as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities when submitting daily log paperwork.
- Provide recommendations for improvements and upgrades to enhance barn functionality to property leadership.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure all work complies with relevant regulations.
- Keep work areas clean and organized and dispose of waste materials properly.
- Completes all required trainings.
